Ps2, Xbox, Game Cube !!!!

My son wants a new game console for Christmas !!

He's 7

Which would be better for him ????

I've heard the Game cube has more childrens games !
Is this true?

TBH - Post this in the PS2 forum and you will get the majority saying get a PS2. Put it in the Gamecube forum, and you will get the opinion that the Gamecube is better (hammered home by ABCman ). And finally put it in the Xbox forum and you will be told to avoid it like the plague. Only kidding, at least the Xbox is cracked, which is more than I can say for my GC!!

Do you think the PS2 has more of a choice of games?

Personally I have got the GC and the PS2, I do play the PS2 more for games like ISS pro Evo 2 and GTA3 Vice City, but this is mainly because I am waiting for games to come out for the GC.
There are some really good games coming out on the GC, like Starfox, Mario Party, Zelda etc, and Mario sunshine is a fantastic game. I would say for the 'younger' gamer that the PS2 may have more variety but the GC on average has better games.

But you are limited on the Xbox for games !!
I would probably go for the PS2, I'm only concered with availible titles for young kids ! but I suppose he can still play all his PS games on the PS2.

If you want a DVD player as well then you could go for the Panasonic Q, I think they sell them at www.playstationmods.com . Basically, it is the best looking console (it is a re-packaged GC) plays multi region DVD's and import games.

And it looks fcuking sweeeeeet.
