Default WANTED: nearly invisible sat dish - please help !!

I have moved house and the neighbours here aint very receptive to the 90cm dish with TRIAX written on it being on the wall that they look at, so i need something a little less obtrusive. I rang round some of the sat places and one of em had an almost clear dish, didnt know the make and wouldnt post it.. I had to collect, anyway, being 250 miles away, i decided against it...

Any1 got any ideas what i can do....

I would like... a dish, almost invisible, pole mount so I can put on my existing motor, and at least 80cm dia...

any useful ideas will earn a pint @ blackpool

    cheers,

    malt.

I think your looking for a bit of a miracule m8. You could paint the dish to blend into the brickwork, and maybe the pole etc, but it will always be visable.

There is a dish that looks like a street light, but it's not motorised and I think it's only 45cm or so. Not much use, but maybe a start.

Can the dish be placed somewhere else ? Maybe on the ground, on another wall looking over the roof. You would be amaxed where I've put dishes in an attempt to get a signal.

AFAIK, your neighbours can't actually stop you as in the UK you can have 90cm without permission, but I guess you want to keep them happy.

First of all I would remove the name off the dish. this can be done by using a hair dryer to warm the label and you can then peel it off, I would then consider painting the dish with a matt emulsion paint which is easy to put on .

    Hope this helps

    Hello.
Spray the dish with a Non-Metalic car spray paint to match the background. If it is up against a brick wall, paint little stripes to match the brickwork.
It will make a big difference & will not affect the signal.
Emulsion paint is a no no as it will get very shabby after a while when the weather gets at it.Make sure whatever you use is Non-Metalic.
    Regards.

The company that make the transparent dish are Vector industries of France vectorind@vectorind.com if you mail them I'm sure they'll give you a supplier.
