Default Transferring a website created via ASP.net

I have been asked to move my friends website from one their current host to another one (it was on a private server and it needs to be shifted)

Now I have been sent everything but all I got is .ASP files, a few .html,no but no .db Now I assumed (wrongly) that it was a matter of finding a free webhosting provider and then uploading the files.

I signed upto tripod (or now known as multimania) uploaded the files and fuck all happened . I did look into this and found out I need a webhost that is running on a windows box and has cgi-bin installed.

Is this correct? I'm only after a free webhost for a few weeks so the site can get re-designed and then shifted onto some paid hosting. Thanks for your help!
