So far, F-Zero, Ghouls n Ghosts, Mario World, Yoshi's Island etc are available and look carbon copies of the SNES versions so why no emulator yet?
Anyone heard of an Amiga emulator yet too?

Is there a version of MAME for the GBA?

Yeah, there is a version of mame, very limited though.
although the GBA is the same power as the SNES a emulator would take up aditional CPU power, meaning the romz would be almost unplayable once loaded.
For a emulator to work well the computer that's being emulated should be at least half the speed of the pc/console that's the emulator is coded for. This is why PS2 and XBOX emus are a reality, but not on current hardware.
in theory a snes emu will be possible when the overclock kits get to market, but a genesis emu is unlikely
There is an official "NES emulator" sorta thing.
I did a thread which nobody really bothered with about it here.
"So right, so pure,
so hoodedclaw"
I thought in terms of raw processing power the GBA was way more powerful than the snes.

buy a snes it's nice and you don't need to wait until it's craked b/c it's allready cracked
The person formaly known as He@! ;)
I'm sure a read some press release that it terms of raw processing the GBA is more powerful than the playstation, but obviously lack h/ware 3d acceleration.

have you seen the 3d engine that can run on a gba? theres a thread in here about it... the company that done doom for the gba (i think) they're 3d engine is good. they put together some code and it came out like driver (a cut down versdion of course)
theres mpgs of it on they're site.
Meh....
