Like the header says,i'm gonna give it a go but don't want to go overboard and spend a fortune just incase I don't take to it.So if anyone has just upgraded and is thinking about offloading some gear let me know.

check ebay for any of the low end cameras... canon 400D, nikon d60, sony a200 etc, they are all pretty much on par and since they have all been replaced by newer models should be nice and cheap. They are all decent cameras. Theres no real beginners camera in DSLR terms, almost every camera on the market today has an auto mode though .
Ive got a Canon 400d, 18mm-55mm kit lens + uv filter A1 condition, less than 2000 photos from it, battery grip 1 orig battery + 2 generics(slight damage to grip but working fine), samsonite backpack, all manuals, leads, discs etc boxed and generic wired remote, + 2 scott kelby books for digital photography. Will take £300 delivered for the lot
