Harddrive detection

Does anyone thing that they might use this type of detection
in games or xbox online.

no one knows for sure yet, its certainly possible

It would be easy enough to do if developers start referencing files from the driver letter up as opposed to just the offset e.g.

e:\sounds\mysound.mp3 ;-) as opposed to
\sounds\mysound.mp3

The easiest anti mod code would simply try and run a section of unsigned code - if it runs then the box is modded.

I don't think developers will do the latter as all the code goes to m$ for signing anyway.
