Newbie Best apps for the job?

    Hey all,

I've been doing a bit of video editting here there and everywhere recently and have been using PowerDirector 8 as I find it easy to use.

I've tried sony vegas in the past and struggled with it, some of you may remember the thread I had where everything I compiled had perfect video but never any sound and I never got that sorted using Vegas, so reverted back to PD8, but because its so easy to use I don't get anything too flashy out it, just basic stuff, I'm filming my sister in laws wedding in the summer and want to do a good job on editting and authoring the dvd afterwards, so was looking to get going with something a little flashier.

    Any recommendations other than Vegas?

Adobe Premiere is shit hot mate, well, what you'd expect from an Adobe product.

Final Cut Studio takes my vote, it's Mac only though.
