DS Stopped working/charging

Hi

My daughters DS Lite stopped working, it did get a little wet from water dripping from her hair after a bath but I did dry it off with a cloth.

However, since then it will not switch on. Plugging it into a charger makes the orange light flash up for a second and then it goes back out.

I have tried the motherboard fuses fix but the problem is still there.

Can anyone suggest anything else to try?

pull both screens but leave the wifi board conected.
now put the battery on and switch it on , if the power light comes on and stays on
then the mobo is ok , short in the backlight of top screen can cause this fault.
