anyone have any of these old consoles knocking about? preferably looking for the original rectangle shaped ones and not the mega drive 2's, if you do let me know what you would like for them, im after 2 or 3 preferably

Do you mean a Master System? Afaik the megadrive didn't have rectangle shape.

Got one console in very good condition, comes with orignal pad and quickshot pad and 5 carts if your interested.

i have a boxed one somewhere with two pads and all other cables. think it was a street fighter tournament bundle and also an unboxed one. if your still looking let me know and ill dig them out.

you can buy them on amazon or something can't you that look ok, not the same like, and have about 25 games built in... you can add carts to it as well!

My 360 will still be around in 20 years it gets that little use, the ps3 probably the same. This thread is makeing me want to go in the attic and find the old megadrive for some mortal kombat

I still play my old Jap Megadrive and Super Famicom from time to time. I also use an old CRT portable to play them for added authenticity.
I tried setting the Super Famicom up on my 52" LED and it just didn't do it for me. Much better with an old T.V to match

The GPU is not supposed to move though as they do on both the 360 and PS3

thanks for the replies i see that i have stirred up some memories for a few of you!

basically i have a MegaCD here i want to test out with the Mega Drive (so need the old version) not the newer MDII ones or one of the clones with games built in (although they are good) and i have some other bits and pieces (original master system adapter etc)

have a bit of a console collection going on but seemed to have more accessories than consoles lol also have alot a few imports so want a console i can make multi region and widen the cartridge slot for my Japanese games etc
