A colleague at work recently got a new iPhone 3GS on a contract with Vodafone and took it out with zero insurance.
Her daughter took the SIM out and put her own in, pushing the card tray in the wrong way - after putting it in the correct way it won't detect the SIM card.
She took it to the local Apple store and they had a look and confirmed that the SIM card pins inside were broken - they offered her the exchange at £130 and said that is the best they can do.
She has asked me about options to repair it, I went on eBay and looked at a logic board and the price of it made that £130 exchange look a lot more attractive - though I thought I'd ask here anyway if there are any other options to repair?
