Default Acer Revo Guide to Automatically download and sort EVERYTHING without Newzbin.

    Credit where credits due.
Spennyboy for introducing me to SABnzbd+ and it's awesome features (and giving me this idea from this thread )
evilsatan for helping to get my Revo setup perfectly with Windows 7.

With this thread, I'm going to explain in detail how to create an Automatic downloader for your Revo using Newsgroups (nzbs.org) and SABnzbd+

It assumes you have some knowledge of how SABnzbd works as explaining this here could take forever! SABnzbd+ is seamless with Newzbin, but what if that goes wrong? Read on...

    Firstly pop over to http://www.nzbs.org
Sign up for an account. It's Free. You only need to do this to be able to save searches (and RSS feeds). NZBs.org is the only Free NZB service I have found that allows direct linking to NZB files through RSS feeds!

Once you have an account click 'My Searches' at the top

Then on right hand side click 'Add Search' and will ask for your Search criteria.

In example I'm using is Supernatural in 720 HD under TV-x264.

Click Save Search. It then also generates an RSS feed for this search. Right click on the RSS feed it and copy the link location.

Now go to the SabNZB interface and click RSS Feeds in the config settings.

Name the feed (Where it says Feed1) to something you can remember (Supernatural HD) and paste the RSS Link into the URL.

Click Save. Now its saved the RSS Feed you can choose to click the tick box to enable automatic check and download or click the Preview button to show you what's available. Anything new - if ticked - will be added to SABnzbd and it'll be processed.

Make sure all your 'Sorting' folders and Renaming parameters are correct and SabNZBd does everything for you.

    http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/folder-sorting
    http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-sorting

(I have my folders saved over a network, I download with my PC and transfer it to my Revo through a mapped drive once downloaded/unrar'd/par'd etc).

All you need to do is make sure you get the search specific to what you want to find before saving it. Certain things can be tweaked in SabNZBd -

    http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-rss

It will only download new releases after you add the RSS Feed (Everything currently in it will be ignored unless you 'Force Download' it)

Do the same for anything you want and it should get it. SabNZBd can be scheduled too so if you are on VM, you can configure it to only work at certain times. I would suggest Resume 21:00 and Pause 10:00.

Make sure to be specific with your searches. If your not, you are going to fill your Hard Drive(s) quickly! ie, dont search for XViD and walk away! It'll download loads of stuff!

I have also got a monitored folder on my computer, so if I fancy searching for NZB's, I download to that folder and SABnzbd adds it automatically.

I used Grabit up til recently, found SabNZBd and havent looked back. The VERY best NZB program out there without question.

Is it same way to use nzbmatrix as nzbs.org seems a lot slower to have the shows listed ?

Thanks for this, I'm gonna try it out. Is there anyway for it to figure out when it's got what you need? For example if I say I want new episodes of South Park xvid 720, I don't care which group releases it first but once I've got one, I don't want another.

What about releases of the same episode from different groups ie the nzb name will be different.

Is yours scanning http://www.nzbs.org for feeds and getting the nzbs from nzbmatrix?

Releases of the same episode from a different group would be ignored I think.

It works out what the name would be after it would download it and ignores it. Although, don't quote me on that.

Newzbin and NZBMatrix can be configured with SABnzbd, but I'm not sure what sort of thing it does as I use neither. Check here to set it up - http://localhost:8080/config/newzbin/

Why would you want to? The NZB's exist on NZBS.org anyway!?!

No Just from NZBS.org thou i like it to get them from nzbmatrix because like i said they seem to be there much quicker

but ya even with different groups it only grabs one (or has so far) easy way to check click the Preview button on the rss feed you set up and it will show you what it would download
