Hi All

I am thinking of getting my xbox chiped. What chip would u recomend. I want a chip that will play multi region DVD'S.

Buy an chip and flash the TSOP - I have a disabled Enigmah in mine. Only problem is that the Matrix/Xodus only has a 256k BIOS so is limited for future expansion. The XBOX's own TSOP is 1 meg so IS compatible. I am currently running EvoX2.5yboxdash from mine and it works a treat

Saying that, I'd wait for the Xecutor2 if you can as it is the definative chip at the moment.

bob when you flash the onboard bios, can you re-flash it any time you want many times if and when a better bios comes out

As someone said a while ago, why wait when there is a solution available now which doesnt require soldering? There is always something better round the corner...

(One thing I wouldnt do though is flash the on board bios. But thats may just be me and being precautious.)

Can someone please inlighting me on what all the evodash and xdash as all about. It sounds complicated to use

Just new to all this so any help whould be very much appreciated

the dash is just the menu screen on the xbox, like the memory card screen and the audio screen, and the rest, thats called the dash

evo-x dash is evolution-x, this is a tool that lets you copy your own original xbox games, plus a LOT more things, like put games on your hard drive.

xboxdash is the one that is already on your xbox when you buy it
there is also a yboxdash, not to clear on this one myself to be honest, but i know it lets you use xbox live with no worries.

The XODUS/MATRIX is a good chip, VERY easy to install ... took me under 30mins ... you dont need to solder, just screw it onto the board in the console. Worked a charm ... price is �45 inc P&P.

Matrix is yesterdays mod with zero future support - so why tell everyone to buy a mod that is not the best or latest or cheapest - mmmm perhaps either you are involved or even you feel like an asshole for spending money on something that aint gonna support future shit ?

IMO its a good mod, the mod lets me play Games and thats all I wanted it for ... also just because Im not a newbie doesnt mean I can solder, I could have one hand for all you know!

What happens when the xbox updates something and a bios update is needed? You are then screwed cos xecutor bios is going to be 512k if I remember correctly. (Unless if you flash the tsop.)

XODUS relies on other ppl while xecutor doesnt.

Therefore the Xecutor is the better mod.

OK when modchips was fist released I got a betachip. I didnt like the way Raptor said well groups dont have to patch they releases to work on your chip so ur screwed ... get a final. I ignored this and it has worked out well.

But now the new features of modchips it worth to get a new one!

Remember xodus = hardware.
Xecutor = Hardware, bios and software.

I know where I am going.

I guess time will tell whether the 256k bios will hold out, im only really interested in using it for gaming, saying that Ive hardly used it since it was bought though
