Unlocking HTC Desire

I giot my new HTC Desire today and wanted to use my iphone sim (O2). So I rang Orange and asked them to unlock it. They won't do it until I have had an orange sim in it for three months.....

Is there another way to unlock it?

Thanks but.....

The thread points you to a site called htcunlocking.

That site offers instant unlock for $15. You pay and it fails.

Then they send you a mail saying that the Desire has to be done manually, send $25 to their paypal with your imei and they'll refund the orignal $15 and send you the unlock.

I did all this but the unlock code didn't work, now they aren't responding to emails.

Also, as I have now tried the code twice, I am terrified to try another code from anywhere else incase it bricks the phone

Looks abouts the best to be fair mate just had a good search. Dont know if it bricks it tho trying the code 3 times and failing i'd ring orange and check fella

Cheers Tommy, I rang Orange first.... You have to use an orange sim in it for 3 months then they'll do it for £20. The guy on the phone actually told me to 'go to one of them market stalls'

Might do tht or get a rebel sim2

looked in to the renal sims but they lose network all the time Market stall could be a good shout
