My homeplugs packed up today. I can't get online with me 360 without them so am after another set. My current ones are 85mbps but will consider faster ones of course
If no-ones selling any do you know where some are cheap?

Actually, only one of them is knackered, the other still has power. Are these interchangeable? Can I buy one of another brand and use them together?
No mate, you'd need the same brand at least. I have 3 (1 of mine broke too lol) comtrend 901s they are the ones that come with the BT vision boxes. They sync at 144meg probably due to the crappy wiring in my house, they are advertised as 200mbps. I paid £35 for each set one from a friend and one set I got off ebay. Apart from one of them not connecting out of the 4 they work well
Bollocks.
Anyone got any they want to swap for something as well? Might be an ideal time for someone to upgrade
You shouldn't need the same brand aslong as they BOTH adhere to the same homeplug standard (1.0)
hi russ m8
what make is your plug ?
I STINK GET OVER IT !
I'm using the £35 eBuyer ones at the moment - they work a treat.
im about to get some of these for my brother aswell, so this thread has helped me.
and regarding your question m8
taken from biffo1,s link http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Netwo...roductId=27297Hi
Can someone let me know if these would work with other power line adapters or do they all need to be the same make?

While I cannot guarantee compatibility, as long as the homeplug uses the Homeplug 1.0 standard, then it should be fine.

The ones i have are "Solwise PL-85PE"
I have the zyxel 200MB ones and they are great, better than any others I tried. I also have 1 D-Link one and that synchs up with m zyxel's.
Got em from here they were on offer at 43 quid but not any more im afraid.
Just spotted this on another site:

£30.
I'm gonna make you all sick I got 2 sets on Sunday at a Car Boot Sale for £8 the 2 sets.
They where Brand New they are the Comtrend 901 free from BT but hey I dont care they saved me a packet.
I would recomend checking your boot sale if you can hang on without them for a few more days. Might not be as lucky as me but you never know.
Enjoy
