    Default confused - pspmod

    Hello,

can someone help, I've been given my brothers old psp (psp-1000 fat white)
and I was looking to enable it to run everything.

it has firmware 6.10 on it

I've been reading through loads of faqs and websites, but I'm still confused as how to do it.

I think I have to purchase a pandora battery, then I have to mod a memstick, but then I'm not sure if i need to somehow downgrade the firmware or can i just put software on another memstick and play direct form that?

or am i looking at it the worng way here ?

    thanks

You need to downgrade the firmware, this is what the pandora battery is for, once it is downgraded you don't need the battery again.

If you know anyone with a PSP already done they can convert your battery for you (making it a pandora one) then you can downgrade and convert it back, Once downgraded everything run off the Memory Stick.

But stage one is get the battery or someone to convert yours.

    thanks bobo,

I will pm my details for the battery

when you say files updated do you mean I need to try downgrade to official ver 5.0 firmware then find the 5.50 GEN-D3 firmware to update?

    cheers
