    Default Component Cable ghosting ?

    Hi

Just got new wii etc, bought a cheap component cable off amazon for £5.99. I noticed some lines floating across the screen a lot, I googled problem and found posts blaming cheap cables and lack of shielding from interference. So I ordered a more expensive Logic3 one which has good reviews, even got it delivered next day courier (cost 10 fs ! )

Just tried this cable and same thing, it looks slightly different but it's still kinda ghostly lines floating over the screen, you can;t always notice it but on a white background its pretty bad.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this ?

I have a lot of equipment near wii but its all turned off apart from my surround amp, I've even tried turning that off and trying with no audio but still there's interference. Not sure what more to try, don't wanna keep throwing money at new cables if it can be helped.

    Steve

took my three goes to get a decent component cable for my xbox 1. Sheilding is the key. You need it to be fairly short, each cable should be sheilded and twisted with the others and the overall cable also sheilded. If the cable is thin, then it's substandard. A decent component cable will always be a fairly chunky affair.
