    Default Clubber's progress journal

Right guys, I need to shed a couple of stones. I am 14st as of this morning and I am 5'10". Ideally I would like to get down to 12st but anything under 12st 6lb would be great. I am gonna do this by exercising and dieting. Going on holiday on August 13 so have 10 weeks to shift it (been putting it off too long).

So far this morning I have had a cup of coffee made with semi skimmed milk and sweetener. Gonna have a bowl of Special K again semi skimmed milk.

Should I cut out the coffee?

Gonna go for a cycle later too.

    Any help and advice appreciated.

I've lost 4lbs in the first week. Gonna have a shit in a bit, hopefully another lb or 2 in there.

At this rate I should comfortably reach my target weight.

Could a mod please move this into the progress journals, thanks.

Sorry mate, missed this. No need to cut out coffee, cut down and stop with sugar may be a good idea. Don't be disheartened if the weight loss doesn't stay at that level, the scales don't dictate how you look.

Have a scan of the stickys at the top of the gym, there is a lot of good diet and cardio/exercise advice in them and keep us updated with your progress. Good luck.

Update: I'm down to 13.3 as of this morning. My stomach area has noticeably reduced in size. Well happy. I have been doing the Atkins diet, which is low carbs/high protein. It's working a treat. I had a bit of a bender last week watching the England match and ate all sorts of shit on Sunday as I was hungover, but other than that I have been very strict with myself.

I feel great. Dieting is addictive when you can see positive results. I have 4 weeks before I go on holiday and i'm gonna carry on with this up until a day or two before we leave.

The missus has trimmed up a bit too, she looked fine before but as we're going on holiday she knocked off a few pounds.

My weight loss stalled so I quit the diet for a few days to stock up on carbs. I restarted again and then had to go to a wedding so I drank and ate quite a bit. Ended up having 4 more days off the diet.

I'm back on it now and I am down to 12st 3lbs. I am going away in 7 days time but will quit the diet in 5 due the body not reacting well to the re-introduction of carbs (lost of shitting!)

I have no doubt I will be below 12st by next Friday.

I'm doing a low carb diet

I normally have chicken sausages with either boiled eggs or an omlette for breakfast

For dinner I have chicken breast, lamb steaks or fish, all put through the George Foreman grill with a green salad

effectively cutting well done.. do you feel drained of energy sometimes though... when you eat carbs you will balloon as your body will store it..
