Video of the standoff and fall:Porn actor Stephen Clancy Hill plunged to his death after an eight-hour standoff with Los Angeles Police Department's SWAT unit.
Hill had allegedly killed another actor and injured two others with a samurai sword. He fled and the police were looking for him.Police were called on Saturday when someone spotted Hill's 1998 Toyota at Azul Drive LAPD Officer Bruce Borihahn said.When police arrived at 9:30 a.m.
Hill walked up the cliff threatening to commit suicide. Officers called the SWAT team and crisis negotiators. Hill had a sword that he kept pointing to his chest. It was not known if the sword was the same one used in the murder at Ultima DVD, a video distribution facility in Van Nuys.Hill warned the officers to stay back or he would kill himself.As police attempted to move in to end the standoff Hill threw himself over the cliff and hit his head.L.A. Now reports Deputy Chief Kirk Albanese said,“He was bent on taking his own life. It’s very unfortunate. We wanted this to end a different way.”
Attempted murder charges had been filed against Hill.KABC-TV Los Angeles, CA reports the autopsy has been completed by the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. The results will not be announced until the toxicology tests are completed.
