bin messin around (trying for a few desktop images) any comments welcome

I'm going to be totally honest here.

The image does nothing for me. There is a distinct lack of contrast, the tiny bit of colour in the top left is distracting. The composition doesn't work and it also feels as if it's not balanced. I think it's far too busy to be a desktop image. Remember you're likely to have ICONS on there too and they'll get lost in the clutter. I would have shot the statue at a different angle.

A more simplistic approach works better for a desktop in my opinion. Something with an expanse of space for ICONS to reside in so something like a central image with space either side or something situated to one side. That said, there are lots of desktop images that do have a lot more going on but often you'll still find there's a central focal point to it.

i think if it had a few more colourful flowers arond the feet it might work

like the pic but it is very flat and in need of a boost, had a play hope you dont mind

was lookijng for a differant angle rather than straight on ian but i see your points.
