    Help US Wii in UK

I have a friend who is moving back to UK from US.

They have a` US wii obvs and want to know if the hardware is OK to use here?

    Does it need a transformer?

I understand that it will have to be softmodded to play UK games.

Any additional things I should know?

    Cheers

Would it be worth ebaying his there, then buying one of ebay here?

The ebay one would have unknown history though....

he'll need it modding if he wants to play games other than USA originals, there are ways to completely replace the system menu data so it will perform exactly like a PAL machine, but if you are going to the trouble of that, you mite as well just hack it and stick a USB HDD loader on there instead, easier and far far better.
