Apparently the HBC update prevents 4.3 from deleteing it, should you mistakingly update your system menu.

Updating the HBC (Home Brew Channel) to the latest version will stop the 4.3 update from removing the HBC
Should it somehow find it's way onto your wii.

The kids Wii needed 0.7b, 0.7 wouldn't have any of it.(on 4.2e)

Still pissing around with the rest of it though...seems my old yaosm wii runs new titles the softmod doesn't.
