ps3 media server

i have used ps3 media server for a while now.thats good but
the ps3 is slow at listing what movies are available.lists 15 ish at a time then the next 15.
is this the software?
what els can i use that has mkv support for streaming to ps3.

Mines quite slow at listing them too mate and that's running over Ethernet. The movies play fine though. If I want to play a movie maybe more than once I copy it straight to the PS3 HD 1st which results in perfect play regardless of Network conditions !

I don't get anywhere near that sort of lag in displaying my lists and I'm running PS3 Media Server on a machine that also runs IIS, Exchange 2007, Apache, SQL Server and lots more. It has 16gb of RAM mind lol. You might want to configure your A/V to not scan the directories you copy your videos to. That could be something that's slowing it down.
