    Default Remote control/VNC

My other halfs brother and family are useless with computers, any recommended software I can install to their machines that will allow me remote control?

That does desktop sharing? I know that MS Communicator does.

    Both systems are Windows 7.

The later versions does yes - not perfect / speedy but does the job.

Other than that you'd probably need to install some apps VNC / R-Admin etc

I'm using LogMeIn free version at the moment. Great with the Mac but also good with Windowze.

The iPhone app is useful too.

I might create a logmein account and add his computer to it as one of mines... I guess I could just let him control the "Computer Code" so that he knows I can't randomly connect to it.

I don't worry about it myself but I'm pretty sure in the settings you can set it so that the other party has to agree to allow access.
