Question Can USB loaders access games over a network/via USB from a PC?

Currently using a 300gb USB HDD to play my backups.

I'm looking at setting up a PC media server for my movies, so I can watch them upstairs or anywhere else in the house.

Is it possible to install a drive into the server, and have the Wii access it over ethernet/USB/Wi-Fi to play the games? I was thinking it might be possible to get a USB A to A cable to connect the server and the Wii together, and the Wii would then see the HDD just as it does now?

Feel free to shoot me down, lol!

Not come accross any apps that can do that.
Also I find the picture fine for the kids but i prefer to stream my files via the 360HDMI. Not that HDMI is gonna be around much longer....
Even if you could, with the limited processing speed of the Wii, there would be one hell of lag time.

But if I do ever here of such an App, I'll let you know.
    Regards

    Thanks for the reply.

I wouldn't be using it to play movies, got a nice HTPC for that, was just trying to do away with an external HDD if possible, and replace it with a HDD inside the server, which is 3ft away from the Wii, and access my games on there instead.
