Found this thread a Great Help. just wanted to say Thanks.
i updated my wii at start of 2010 to 4.2 and booted games with neo gamma r8 but now new ones dont seem to load from dvd do you have to boot them via a hardrive now and have you a link to your files the one i tryed was down cheers
Crack_it,
USB Loading is certainly the move forward, however you should still be able to get most games to play via backup disc.
What backups are you having issues with?
What Version are your cIOS's at? (222,223,249) syscheck
Just checked the download links and they seem to be fine
Here is the link to the latest wad file Neo-Gamma R9 Beta 47
Regards
Q-Ball,
What you can do is try Priiloader V4 and redo those hacks as the one in the download is a beta that supports the newer HBC.
V4 will still work OK it just won't be able to load HBC from priiloader.

I believe that you need to update your cIOS 249 to version 17 (at least)
And you don't have cIOS222 or 223 installed.
There are 2 ways to go just install cios249v17.wad with Multi Mod Manager
this should get most games to load via backup disc.
Download the softmod files,
- Delete '05 - Neogamma Channel.wad' from the wad folder and replace it with the one from the previous post (R9Beta47).
- Then put them on your SD card and load MMM (multi mod manager) make sure that 249 is the loaded ios (if not select it)
- Then press 1 to select all and install
You should now be on v17 and 222,223 installed, there will also be a forwarder install for usb loading in the future.
See how that goes before you try method 2 - Update IOS's

Took out my wii blew the dust off it powered it up, was running v3.3 (Twilight hacked).
Followed renke's guide worked like a charm, only prob could only install BootMii 1(think it was already installed from preious hack) so it wouldn't let me grr!
Now running v4.2!! WHOOP!
Sorted now was able to boot from HBC to do the backup.Question, is there a way to install BootMii Boot2 so i can do a nand backup?

Before I get giddy and set the wii up again ....... Need a bit of advice ??
Was twilight hacked and not mucked around with it since March.
The SD card that I used last time round (when I didn't take much notice of what I was doing!!) has
Corpv3.6 and rev17 files on it.
What would you recommend as I want to get it back unto date ?
Cheers
Many thanks for the guide. I followed the link to the 4.3E downgrade and it all worked 100% with the Indie game hack. Just going to try out the usbloader once I get hold of a spare HDD!
Hi, have the HBC installed via the Indy method, done a nand backup.
I've got a little lost in the guide what is the CIOS stuff about please, do I need to worry about that?
Does the HBC pick up stuff from the SD card install packages and the like?
I have an image and just want to play that from a USB stick, is that possible?
Excellent guide . Many thanks. Bit of a problem for me though. I have a 4.2E console that had the original Twilight hack on it. The kids done the upgrade to 4.2E. Now trying to use Renke's guide and I can install the Homebrew channel. The next step I go to install any IOS and the controller won't sync so can't select anything. Tested the controller with a normal game and all fine so not sure how to get beyond this bit.

thanks done a 4.2e and a 3.2e recently with this guide
Depends how it's setup. My drive has 2 partitions. 1 to boot from (Fat32) and has all the boot.dol programs on it (in my case, just wiiflow).
The other partition is formatted to WBFS and holds all the ISO's. I do not have an SD card in mine, everything access the Hard Drive from boot.
I dont have any games on usb hd yet, just dvds and stupidly tried to softmod it over the weekend whilst half cut, got half way through and cant remember were i was up to and someone switched the wii off! I followed this guide off http://gbatemp.net/t171901-modify-any-wii-4-3-below but seem to remember this bit failing -Run 2. YAWM Multimod Batch
It should automatically start installing the neccesary wads you need.
Make sure it says "0 failed" at the end, and after a few seconds it will return you to The Homebrew Channel.
*If you experience a code dump when running YAWM Multimod Batch, delete the wm_config.txt file found inside the /wad directory, and then run YAWM Multimod Batch again and manually select IOS 236 and SD card when prompted.*
i tried to delete the mw-config.txt file like it said and it still failed , at that point i gave up and had another beer!
it has the Hb channel on and that works ok, going to try and fix it tonight and will report back, thanks DejaVu.
depends how you load the games, most loaders and other tools can be installed as channels, which are stored on the internal memory so its possible to run everything without an SD card. for the same of a few quid, an SD card does make the whole thing a lot easier though.
cheers guys, got mine working after tinkering with it again, im trying to do a mates and checked the version, it says 2.2e, when i try and load the first files from the sd card the wii hangs and i have to turn it off to reset it, any ideas?
cheers
