Been asked a Time Machine question at work and I haven't got a clue so wonder if any Mac bods can give me some pointers...
Guy here has bought a new Macbook Pro and has used time machine to sync his old Macbook to his new one using the installation disks. Several months on... what he wants to do is sync the new one back to the old one but Time Machine will only allow him to sync it to the same Mac (installation seems to allow it to a diff Mac).
Question 1 - could we wipe the old one and then sync the new one back with the installation disk like we did first time the other way round?
Question 2 - is there any other quicker/easier way to do this without wiping the old machine as he reckons its will take a good 6 hours or so to do.
Mac is running Snow Leopard if thats important.
Thanks in advance
Stephen
