Default Best Website Software for Beginner?

Hi guys, I have become an agent for a mobile network and will be offering free payg simcards for them online in my spare time. What im looking for is a simple to use website creator that will create a simple site of 1-2 pages to advertise this. I dont need any forms created etc as they provide a page to do all this bit where the user can request their simcards. Any help appreciated.

Joomla? Seriously? For a total beginner? I'm not so sure I would agree. I don't have anything to add that might make it easier, fuck I've been designing websites for almost a decade and a half so don't really need beginner stuff, but I would have thought Joomla a step too far for total beginners.

If it's to get online quick and easy the free domain and Google Sites is ideal. I've started using Google Sites for ease of creating a few pages and quickly sharing.

If its to do your own website and manage it, I'd recommend Wordpress. It's very easy to use, a mass library of add ons and looks pretty professional too.

Or, if your wanting to know HTML and do a bit of your own coding - have a look at Dreamweaver.

Not often I'd agree with BBK, but Joomla is not for beginners in any way shape or form.

Really? I'd consider myself fairly clueless when it comes to webdesign but didn't think Joomla was too bad to setup and get looking ok. It's also easy to play around with as if a new article looks shit you can just unpublish it. Same as anything just backup the template config files before you start if you want to modify them!

I like Joomla and it didn't take me long to pick up. But if you want something really easy to use then I would recommend giving Zimplit a look. Very simple to use.
