Weird question but something I have been wondering for a while. Most of our previous family cats have killed a vole/mouse or even a bird in the past and brought it into the house. According to some this is the cat giving us a present, I personally think it has had it's fun playing with the dying animal and now wants to piss me off for a laugh.
But one of our two cats always leaves an organ in the same place reasonably regularly (monthly generally). These organs all look the same, I assume they are a mouses stomach or something like that. Today I have been left with the usual organ, but the cat has upped his game and left me with the face of a mouse (not skull, just the face!).
Now my question is this, is it just a coincidence the cat leaves what appears to be the same organ in the same place (front door mat) regularly or is there any science to explain these actions?
God knows what happens to the rest of the remains, Maybe the cat eats it, or maybe there's a stash of them behind the sofa.
