Default Is my cat a surgeon?

Weird question but something I have been wondering for a while. Most of our previous family cats have killed a vole/mouse or even a bird in the past and brought it into the house. According to some this is the cat giving us a present, I personally think it has had it's fun playing with the dying animal and now wants to piss me off for a laugh.

But one of our two cats always leaves an organ in the same place reasonably regularly (monthly generally). These organs all look the same, I assume they are a mouses stomach or something like that. Today I have been left with the usual organ, but the cat has upped his game and left me with the face of a mouse (not skull, just the face!).

Now my question is this, is it just a coincidence the cat leaves what appears to be the same organ in the same place (front door mat) regularly or is there any science to explain these actions?

God knows what happens to the rest of the remains, Maybe the cat eats it, or maybe there's a stash of them behind the sofa.

Sure it's the cat? You have a wife (or male companion)?

Its times like this that make me glad I've got an indoor cat
However one weird thing mine does is harvest wasps and bees, he catches them around the apartment and then plonks them in his feeding bowl. I once found 5 of them in there... WTF???

At least your cat does something useful! Mine come in handy when the giant field spiders invade my house in the summer months, I just unleash the cats and the spiders are gone

I have a friend who had a cat that would leave just a kidney behind as a gift for him. When cats do this it's considered to be a gift to their masters so I'm guessing that's the best bit of a mouse - although on the flip side it could be a warning....

my cats very similar to this, shes 2 and i have had her since she was 2 months old so hasnt really been taught how to hunt etc but i do often come down and find a dead bird or a mouse in the living room (she always leaves them by the fireplace for some reason, i think its so i can definately see it in the morning when i come down to get ready for work)

however her most recent ones were a bit more nasty, she usually kills alot of birds and mice but generally they are mostly intact when she has killed them but she seems to be having more fun with them at the moment, i came down to find a few heads of birds with loads of feathers all over the living room, last week i saw what i thought was a bit of string and 2 bits of mud on the floor, when i looked closer i realised it was a mouse' tail with a bit of its arse still attached and half a face with an eye, quite freaked me out as i had to get closer to see what it was

however she keeps my house completely clean from wasps, bees, flies, spiders etc etc as anytime she sees them she just stalks them and kills them very quickly

    i love my cat
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

My cats have always done this too on the rare occasion that they actually eat what they kill. Must be quite common

I remember was at a mates place having a barbeque and he gave some of the leftovers to a stray cat he would often feed.

Next day in the exact same spot we left him the food was a dead bird.

I first read the title as 'Is my cat a sturgeon?'

However as Tiggerbiker says, it's the Gall Bladder. Never heard of the face thing before though, must want to give you a trophy.
