best way to get all my contacts etc off iphone 3gs to go onto new android phone?

just bought a desire as i fancy giving android a go. how can i get all my phone numbers and contacts etc off the iphone to go onto the desire??

is there a way of transfering everything onto the sim??

Sync with googlemail all contatcts via iTunes works fine I did the same, then when you link your android with google mail it loads the contacts.

Yep,

Get a googlemail account and store all of your contacts in there.
Then your Android, or iPhone 4.0 when you 'upgrade' , will sync and update automatically.

If its jailbroken get sim manager from cydia and send the contacts to the sim card.

i use gmail anyway, thats set up on my iphone.

so do i already have all the contacts on gmail? or is there anything extra i need to do?

If you have your iPhone set up as an exchange account then it will all be synced. If you log onto google on a PC do you see all your contacts?

i have my gmail acc set up as an exchange acc on the iphone.

when i log into gmail and hit "contacts" its only coming up with the last 12 peoples numbers i put in? when i have over a hundred on the iphone?
