    Default Another world

After playing through the limbo demo on XBLA, it reminded me of the Another World (i know now that reviewers are saying the same, but this was something that hit me whilst playing it and not knowing anything about it).

Anyhow, after watching this small playthough of another world, i'd forgotten how much of a great game it was - no wonder i loved it so much back in the 90's. Well before its time, and a credit to all that worked on it.

I think Flashback was the unofficial sequel to this:

It was a very good game and the graphics were amazing at the time.
I've just noticed it is available for the iPhone too. Grabbing it now...

Like the posts above, i always thought that flashback was the sequel to another world, never even heard of heart of the alien, guess because it only came out on sega cd.

Nice documentary describing another world's birth:

I'll probably pick up the 15th anniversary addition and give it a play though:

I'm sure a demo of another world was on the front of one of the amiga mags and all you got to play was up to the part where the monster at the start chases you and i thought fuck me that is amazing couldn't wait to get it.

Add me to the list who thought flashback was the sequel and has never heard of heart of the alien.

Loved Another World and Flashback, played them both to death.

Also played Fade to Black on the Playstation, which was the "sequel" to Flashback.
Great game for it's time, and again great graphics.

Project to port Heart of the Alien to all consoles.

Obviously you need to own the original should you download anything from the site!

Did you see the Zero Punctuation cartoon on Limbo, I am sure he made reference to this:

No. I, like many others thought it was like Another World then it just hot me that it was also like ICO.

I rented ICO years ago & never realised how good it was until a few years after. Went to buy it and could not believe the cost and at the time could not afford £70+ on a game.

Watching some video reviews of it last night it looks well ahead of it's time for a PS2 game!
Surely the PSN store will put it up?
