Wedding Anniversary Presents

I'm 22 and as such know fuck all about anything. If, hypothetically, you invited a load of people to a 30th anniversary party would they turn up with presents?

I need to know so that I can put in a line telling people not to bring presents, but feel that would be cheeky if presents are not normal at these events.

Actually, disregard this. I've spoken to a fellow 22 year old who isn't a miserable bastard and actually goes to these events more often and have been informed it would be normal to bring presents.

Am actually not going to bother with the don't bring them line either because apparently the venue copes with storing them quite well and it's short notice so people might have already bought them. Asking for charity donations instead would be a lot more useful than filling the house up with stuff, but whatever.

I'd take a card and present if invited, unless told not too. I think most people would - that's what usually happens anyway, never been told not to.

Telling people not to bring presents seems to be a really recent thing, especially popular amongst older people getting married for example because they already have all the traditional wedding present style stuff and would rather just do a charity donation.
