There are so many orb spiders around the foliage at the moment, many of them females like this one, probably looking after babies, but all too often they hang around at the most ridiculous of angles.
This little lady was upside so that was the first challenge, getting into position. The second challenge was waiting for the breeze to go away. It never really did, but for a brief moment or two, it dropped sufficient long enough to press the shutter. Challenge three was being in focus using 3 extension tubes, but that went pretty well.
Tripod mounted and ring flash used.
All in all, this one finally worked, but only AFTER turning it upside down in the editing stage!
C&C as always.
