I feel like a moaning old man with the query.. (probably because I am).
Now, I'm no stranger to using race exausts on motorcycles (I had one on the only one I ever owned years ago) but in our neighborhood there has been a couple of yooof racing about on some 'road-legal' quad bikes.
I can deal with the sounds emitted from motorcycle race exhuasts as I think these actually sound okay but the noise generated from the quad-bikes as they race 50+MPH down the 30MPH limit road outside is 'orrible! Yup, they max out the revs for maximum 'coolness' too. It's like someone with a vuvuzela inserted in their recturm whilst pushing out the most cronic diarrhea! It's sooo loud and nasty.
I know there is a legal requirement for sound levels on motorbike exausts but wondered if this applies to quad bikes as well?
