scorpion 3 100Hz lightgun

About 3 months ago I read that this was coming out so I phoned the company using a number from a trade mag and the woman on the phone says "oh yeah they'll be out in the shops Monday!" ... LOL well it's now almost the end of November and I still havent seen any.

Special reserve don't stock them (they are on order), neither do Gameplay (they are on order as well), and the Official website have a pic of it and NO link to buy it!

what's the deal then, doea anyone know?

I just phoned Gameplay up 0845 3454440 and got 2 @ 19.99 each!

Well I got them this morning ....

They aren't as straight forward as the old guncons.

To get the one I used working correctly, I had to have the controller of the gun in port 2 and a joypad in port 1, the usb connection from the gun into the top usb port. For some reason any other way does not work for me! (this method is not stated in the manual).

The laser does not line up with the gun shots even when configured to the best accuracy, the closest I could get the laser to the on-screen gun shot was about 2 inches, you still get allot of flicker whilst lining up/calibration (100hz users will know about this), luckily you can turn the laser off when you start the game, making it allot less confusing.

It's very small, roughly the same size as a ps2 pad, not like the good old chunky guncons, unless some modding could be done with an old guncon maybe?

Overall I'm slightly disappointed, but glad that I finally have a gun that works with my ps2.
