Question new ipad for my son set up question.

I'll be setting up my sons new ipad tonight, ready for christmas.

during the set up can i just use my apple ID to log into the appstore etc, or do I need to create one for him specifically?

a retarded question I know, but I just want to be sure that I can use my ID across multiple devices ( I use mine for my iphone and Ipad already, so his ipad would make 3 devices)

    cheers

    steiff.

I'd create one for him tbh.
Keep the password secret if necessary but it's far easier to get him an account now. so when he does get iTunes vouchers etc. then he can install his own stuff and you do t get them on your devices.

Speaking from experience here. Just make sure you write down the answers to the security questions and remove the card payment details once account is created.

As above, create him his own one so your contacts, apps, and other data are kept separate. Only downside is if you want the same app on both devices you have to pay for it on both apple accounts.

Not quite. You can sign out of the App Store on the device and sign in with another account to download apps that that account had paid for. For instance I have apps on my iPhone that were bought with my daughter's App Store account.

However, I agree that he's better off with his own account.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, the funky gibbon.

Thanks guys. He has his own account now. It seemed the logical step
