    Default Limiting Xnews Bandwidth

I use the pc for work as well as downloading but when I use xnews it swallows all the bandwidth. Is there a way to limit it to say, 40k instead of taking all 60k of it?

Just had a look at the settings in xnews m8 and cant see anything to do what you want, try look in the help file see if there is anything in there.

i dont really have a problem with it tho while im downloading at 62k i also do other things on my pc, like on the net write letters burn games and so on.

what else do you do that you want the other 20k for m8

AFAIK there are no software packetshapers available. (Though doesnt QOS in XP perform a simular task? Dont have XP so I cannot check.)

If anyone does find one let me know!

I need the extra 10-20k to upload things to ebay, download pages and stuff. My work is totally web orientated and I'm having to call on the servers all the time and sometimes I'm left....hanging.....there.....waiting...........f.o....r....a..page to download - which all adds up to wasting time.
