If he can get a weak signal could try a signal booster and is he on Digtal as that is normally stronger than the normal signal.
Known as TC to his friends, he resides in a dustbin, where he gets as much sleep as he can.
Wouldn't bother with a signal booster got 1 for my brother and hasn't made a jot of difference to his set up.
Bitches aint shit!!
Are these council or private tree's?
You have no rights to remove tree's for TV Reception purposes...
Sunlight on the other hand!

Or, something I found funny -
Get the Tree's an ASBO!
I tore 4 fir's down 3 years ago as they made the garden look dingy. It was my neighbours ex-wife's tree's and he was more than happy for me to get shot of them!
hi im not sure who owns the trees. its in a old dene next to a colliery that closed in 1991.
there is a few trees on land that british coal owned, might try a pole up one of the talest trees with the ariel at its top?
that would give cable length of well over 100 meters.
ant help is gratful.
thanks flexy.
100 mtrs?
Wouldn't you be better off putting the pole on the house high enough to clear the trees! lol..
hi forogt to metion the guy has sat tv also.
this is working now due to the leaves falling from the trees.
he wanted the ariel to overcome the sat problems from the leavesin the teees blocking his signal.
we have tried a 18foot scafold pole on a hill above his house with a long cable lead.
still no signal in digital feeview.
we got a few chanels on teresteial tv.
thx flexy..
If you cant get Sat or Freeview or remove the trees, then looks like the only way is Internet TV.Don't suppose cable is an option then.
For freeview check out the site of transmitters as you may get a signal from the opposite direction.
I like this idea, I've also heard of people using boosters to get signals from neighbouring transmitters in order to get channel 5 or Freeview before it was launched for their area.
We're quite lucky here because you can literally see the transmitter from the house when it's dark as it is lit up with dozens of red lights, so you can point the aerial straight at it. For transmitters that you can't see, you can find their location somehow (google it, both main transmitters and repeaters are definitely online somewhere) then check Google Maps terrain view (or just look in that direction) to see if there is a mountain or something in the way, and if not it could be worth trying to pick up the signal. Boosters are quite cheap and if you get from the highstreet you may be able to return if the idea doesn't work.
I'd like to request permission to laugh if the other transmitter is also behind the trees though.
