I recently made a switch from my Windows PC to a MacBook.
On the MacBook with a clean install of Snow Leopard I launched to a clean library and logged into my iTunes Store account and Authorised the Mac as one of my allowances.
On the PC, I copied my whole "Music" folder including the "iTunes" one and copied it to the "Music" folder within the 'Chris' folder on my Mac.
I launched iTunes and the library looked exactly as it should - I connected my iPhone and it done a backup etc and all was OK.
Problem is, when I attempt to play a song I get a message stating the file could not be found - it's the same for all songs. I have the option to Locate the file and I'll assume it will be OK but I have 2,631 songs. The podcasts I have downloaded play fine.
Is there a mass way of fixing this? I assume in the library the file location is stored as C:\Users\Chris\Music or something to that effect and it needs to be corrected, I was going to delete all songs and re-import (They're all in the Music folder) but this said it would remove the songs from my iPhone too which I'd like to avoid - but if needs must I'll just do it.
Any thoughts?
