Camera

My sister wants to buy her boyfriend a decent camera for Xmas, she has a budget of £500 can anyone recommend one I can suggest to her.

Her boyfriend is and probably will never be really into photography, he has been hinting at a camera though so ideally it will be very easy to use, automatic as much as possible and have a decent zoom.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Sounds to me like the Fuji HS10 would be a good choice

the canon G12 is a good option, I was looking at the work of a pro the other day assuming he had a 1D or some other multi grand costing set up and it turns out he mainly uses a G10 and G11.

Yeah I'd recommend the Canon G11 or G12. Great little cameras!

I have a G9 as a carry round and it is indeed a nice little box. Highly recommended.
