Apple Itouch Jailbreak/ Case Recommendations

Recently bought an ipod touch refurb from Apple, as a gift for my daughter, and was just wondering what the most up to date jailbreak is at the moment ?

It is on 3.1.3.

Also, looking to get a good case for it, anyone have any good suggestions ?

Looking for a decent case myself for a 4G version, malty says the slide ones are good

Just done my misus's 3rd gen ipod touch.

Update the firmware to 4.1 from itunes and then following this guide

got the jailbreak done, now just need a case.

Might just go for an incipio feather case as I have one on my iphone 4 and its excellent
