Info Advice needed on a new wii

Not really been following the wii scene recently and ive only installed 2 chips for people this year so im not up on the latest boards/chips. I am getting one of the new red wii's with super mario bros and just wondered if anyone had one of these and could tell me roughly whats inside them and if possible what is the best chip to use.

doing some quick research it looked like wiikey fusion but i remember having some probs with those b4. he only plays a few games so might not even get it chipped but i like the idea of being able to run backups from sd card, this would save our originals from getting damaged.

Im going to get him Goldeneye too

yeah, great advice, even better, throw £150 into the nearest dustbin.

Softmodding is probably the best option for a new wii, although I have never been a fan of it, it has developed very well on the wii, with safeguards and all loopholes plugged so its almost fool proof, unlike the xbox.

Im not sure what version the current red wiis ship out with, but the very newest ones will need to be hacked via indiana pwns, which will be described on the link provided above, once you have that, everything will fall be easy enough.

Just bear in mind the main issue you will have is the wii will not play games off dvdr, only from a usb HDD.
