    Default Can Sabnzbd figure out what it's downloading?

    If I add an album or a movie can I get it to figure out what it is (and therefore put it in the correct folder)? At the moment I have to manually go in and specify what it is.

    Yes. You can specify post transfer actions in the config to filter stuff into folders. Have a root through the web pages.

    I have it set to filter into folders at the moment. But can I get it to figure out that that it's a tv show, for example, without me having to manually specify that it is?

    If your using newzbin or nzbmatrix then they'll automatically provide categories. The Sabnzbd configuration screen has a section then on what folders to download what category into.

    Not without the integration of other programs -

    Movies = CouchPotato
    TV = Sickbeard
    Music = N/A Yet - talking about doing one on XBMC

    I tie the lot together and have a 'Control Panel' in the form of Media Front Page

    You could always create an RSS feed and your favourite NZB Index site for certain music and make SabNZBd download it direct to your Music folder...?

    Old fashioned, pointless and time consuming.

    I couldn't get that to work. I just stick with customized RSS feeds and put them in the folder that way. If I use MyNZB on my phone to download ad-hoc I still have to specify the destination category.

    Thanks for the replies. I often download random episodes, movies or albums. So I can't use any a program that automates the selection of the program. The thing is, it would be fairly easy to just search for the file on a movie db site, tv db site and music db site and have it flag up on one of them. I can't believe someone hasn't created something to automate it or integrate it with Sabnzbd.

    Just been looking at this, but am a bit confised as to the other programs I need setup and working before this will have any use and work properly.

    I also have access to a server but I think hosting apache/php locally would be better as I don't need remote access.

    I've grabbed xbmc and sickbeard...now I'm stuck - help?

    edit:
    Just a list of programs I need and order of install will be a great help mate!

    XBMC Dharma Beta 4
    SickBeard
    CouchPotato
    Transmission (or use uTorrent Web Interface)

    A few other programs are optional like AWX (It's a new XBMC JQuery Web Interface that looks great!)

    It's constantly being update and is easier to use if you have Linux's XMBC installed. But others have managed to get it working great with Windows or WHS.

    I'm popping out in a minute, but once I get back I'll try to give you some pointers.
    Just to add, I use XBMCFreak on my Revo as it's soooo much better than the Windows version, especially when you have a large collection - I have 400 odd films and around 3,000 TV Episodes.

    The newest feature of the above is the RSS Feeds. It's in realtime, when you click the feed, it automatically adds the NZB to the correct category in Sab. Then after the download, either Sickbeard (TV Shows) or CouchPotato (Films) organise your library into order as well as renaming the files to human readable instead of the usual stuff in there.

    Ok mate, I've had a read of that thread but there is a lot of info to take in.
    I'll take a dig through after tea and hopefully you can get me over the finish line later when you have some spare time.

    Thanks - looks mint
