    I'm sure it will, virgin will start to include discounts for it for higher tier packages just as they've done with V+.

    True and yeah TiVo was about 200 sheets before, just that I'm sure I pay a fiver extra just to have a V+ box over a standard one. Would rather just do that for the new TiVo box. Maybe they could tie ppl in to a 12 or 24 month contract.

    Can't justify it myself.

    I doubt it, the TiVo boxes (I think) are purchased, V+ boxes are rented from VM, they may offer some subsidies to sweeten the deal if they don't get a good take up but I wouldn't hold your breath.

    Over time all technology drops in price, may not be quick but it will eventually.

    Possibly, the original TiVo didn't but it was maybe not around for long enough. I'd rather pay nowt but if any PVR is worth a £200 it'll be a TiVo.
