    Stupid Is coax bi?

Right guys.... this one came up earlier today in conversation....

    Is Coax Bi directional?

Can you send a signal from one device one way and a signal from another the other, using splitters at either end... and at the same time???

    I anticipate some intereesting replies

Hmm, interesting. I can't claim to know much on the subject, but thinking about it, surely you could pump something at one frequency one way and another the other way? Also thinking differently with a digital system surely you could time the two signals so they take turns? Interested to see what those who know more have to say.

Edit: Of course there must be ways otherwise you wouldn't get more than one channel out of cable tv.

As long as they are modulated to different frequencies it would be fine - ie. different channels on the TV.

People do this to send a Sky second output signal back into their existing network of aerial wires.
