Black Ops on Veteran

Has anyone completed this game on Veteran?

I was just wondering because I have started giving it a go and am currently stuck on the bit where you have to go down into a valley and back up a hill the other side.
It is just impossible and there aren't enough check points so you have to be so careful and there are infinate spawning baddies.

I have used up a lot of hours on this so far and it is making me very angry.

Is this on the keh shah level . In the desert? With the woods guy?

If so you need to get half way Down and there is barrels to kick over green with a yellow band around

Yeah that's the level. Getting to the barrel is the hard part.
I done it on normal and it was hard enough then.

50 minutes it took me to work out the barrel.
I cleared the area just in front of the barrel and just legged it to the cover point at the left handside of it. Waited for Woods to appear... chucked a few grenades, kicked the barrel, back to cover point, wait for boom and then leg it again towards the hills.
(Veteran as well)
Frustrating level, that one.

Wat a f@%kib level that was took me about 2 hours to do that on veteran. An now I'm about to start the game on the ps3 :@ lol

Aye, finished on Veteran on 360.
Didn't even realise you could kick the barrels downhill! Must of died at least 800 times throughout whole game.
Finished and sold on as multiplayer is sluggish and unreliable. :-)

i got stuck on that level as well. i went on to the next level, did the rest of the game and came back to it - did it 2nd go after that.

i picked a few guys off from the top (mostly the left side) until i could run down to the left shelter (stop half way and pick a few more guys off). Then look towards the first barrel and take out the two guys beyond that and you need to take out one guy below them quickly before you can take out the first barrel. Run back for cover and do the same for the 2nd barrel. After that it's pretty straight forward

Yeah I managed to do it last night. Turns out the barrel on the left is a lot easier to get to than the one on the Right. Still not finished the level yet tho.
