    Help 3RL Recommended Repairer

One of my JTags has developed the dread 3RL. Its an old Xenon, but hasnt had too much use.

Can anyone recommend a company / person who can fix it with any reliability ?

    Much appreciated.

Are you not confident doing it yourself? The kit's around work fine and rescued mine. All the tools and instructions you need come with them and will cost you around £10

All you need to ensure is that the CPU and GPU are very very clean of the old paste (so they shine like a mirror) and your onto a winner.

The recommended one is the Xecutor one. Rap used to stock them but didn't have them last time I looked.

Ebay have lots like this with everything you need: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Xbox-360-XCLAM...item2eb23830dc

I cannot stress enough however that you really need to spend time cleaning the GPU and CPU. I scraped off what I could with a credit card, then used a couple of the wipes. When I thought I was not getting anywhere I put a little Vodka (Smirnoff) into the cap and dabbed a little on the chips. A few hours later it came off easily with the remaining wipes.

Then you put a rice size blob of paste on the chips, it may not seem to be enough but it is. Then you clamp it all together with the kit, run it for 10 mins to get the paste working, put everything back together and you now have a working 360.

Mine has been 100% since! When it had the 3 RROD it would die after 5 mins use. Now I use it for games, Sky Player etc... with no issues.

I have the PDF guide if required which talks you through the process step by step with images.
