iPhone 4 - Official Support to use as Wifi Hotspot?

I was just reading something about the iPhone 4 being available on Verizon soon in the USA and noticed that they mention that it will be possible to use it as a WiFi hotspot to allow other WiFi devices to use the data connection in the phone, similar to MyWi - except this is officially supported by Apple.

It also mentions that the phone itself is slightly different in that they've amended the aerial design to have extra notches towards the top of the phone and moved the side buttons down slightly to accommodate the new design.

Not sure what will happen over here but that's definitely something I'd like to see supported out of the box so fingers crossed

I can see all of the operators over here rubbing their hands wondering how much extra they can charge for the service.

iOS 4.3 beta just got it releassed with it built in.

Wonder what o2 will charge us for this hotspot feature? If I get an iPad2 this could save me from having to get the 3G one.

4.3 beta adds airplay support for apps also

I hope the hotspot functionality works on Vodafone too, would come in useful

I would think they'd offer it for free especially as it means there's a greater chance you'll exceed your data allowance and have to pay through your nose for the excess
