MW2 Lobby Hosting on PS3

Right, never been a fan of online games but last few weeks been playing MW2 on PS3 with 5 mates who are very good at it. Got myself to level 39 working through a few challenges, however for the last few days all I can find is lobbies full of cheats with all kinds of crap popping up, someone has upgraded me to level 70 so now I have to start again. For me not so much of an issue but all my mates have been done as well, one of them was prestiged about 5/6 times and they zoomed him to prestige 10 and gave him everything, he is not happy about starting again.

Can anyone tell me how I can host a lobby on my ps3 that anyone (mates included) can play on but without any cheats so noone can mess everything up for us. I can go out and jailbreak ps3 as I've done it before but what do i need to do to just host my own bog standard team death match lobby.

How is psn screwed? one game has hacked lobbies? Does the 360 not have hacked lobbies anymore then?

To answer your question, no there is nothing you can do about it. You could play in private matches but obv won't gain any xp etc. I can't see IW releasing any more patches for MW2 now to fix this either.

i fucking hate the cheating twats, i mate of mine thought he was ace cause he had level 10 on mw2 but his stats are shit, and they don't add up for been level 10, as another mate of mine is only level 4 and has over 100,000 score and has hit prestige each time he's had the option, i just don't see the point in it.
i they get found out about cheating all they do is start another profile.

So theres no way for me to host a lobby the same way these others are hosting hacked lobbies.

I don;t mind starting again, I just want to run my own lobby so no one can mess it about. Someone must know how to do it.

don't know how these mod work, i modded halo2 with a friend (yes i know my post i fucking hate modders) but didn't mod to get top ranks we pissed about but the mod only worked if we was host, i presume its the same for the mods now. but i don't know how to get host on games now. mw2 is just luck of the draw for me but fuck me when i get host i have to end the game i get the worst lag ever when i'm host.

PSN is screwed because recent events have blown it wide open for the masses with very little knowledge required. There are a lot less people with JTagged xboxes and if they go on live they are banned pretty quickly.

I know COD has been hacked before with gamesaves but cheating online will soon become widespread unless they start to ban consoles.

Fair point in future it is only going to get worse unless Sony can sort something - so far though there is only MW2 that has hacked lobbies etc and that was done way before recent happenings.

People have started to be banned by treyarch now for glitching / boosting / etc on black ops, perm banned from the servers - something in the new ps3 fw as it is only since that came out?

Thank fuck they started doing something it was pissing me off, i like a good game an hate 12 year old that think its funny. Rant over Glad Trayarch are pulling their finger out lol. Least the fixed it freezing
