I've been playing the beta and gotta say, it's pretty damn good. The Graphics are lovely and doesn't need a powerhouse of a machine to play at high detail, the quests are pretty good, the class system is superb, where you can mix and match classes, much like early SWG was. Overall it's a big thumbs up, and based on my beta experience i'll be pre-ordering it for sure.

The lighting effects are stunning too, like when clouds go over the sun it affects the light in the environment properly.

Just had a quick go at this and i have to say it has been very thought out. The skill sets all mix together very nicely and the graphics are pretty good to. I will be pre-ordering this and the new Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO

I played Aion quite a bit in beta but gave up after 2 months of it still being so buggy after release. It was nowhere near as polished even in release as rift is in beta.

Yea i played Aion to it was good for about 20 mins then i got really bored of it dont know why just lost interest, just bought Rift on Steam so will be playing it later today. Played the beta and it was great running in and out of rifts that just appear.

According to Steam you get 30 days included with the digital purchase. Where do I enter the serial key provided by Steam to get these 30 days?

When I click Play, I entered my email/pw that I created on the Trion site but it says;
"You are not authorized to play this game"

EDIT: OK, a bit of googling says that I have to purchase a sub that kicks in after the 30 free days. That's a bit shit because I was hoping to use the 30 days to decide whether I would want to play it further. Cheeky cunts

You can cancel the sub before it kicks in though mate so no panic

Aha, good point! Apparently up until the 15th March, they are offering a bit of a discount on subs, so I guess I would want to decide by then whether to extend.
