Can someone explain to me what the point of this is? I softmodded a Wii last night and used the files and followed the now super dooper easy guide from Renke_UK and had it done and working with a hard drive after 5 minutes?!

Are these exploits just for the new 4.3 firmware or something?

before i try this on my 3.2e Wii with a WiiKey installed, should i update to 4.3 first and can i leave the WiiKey installed ( i understand it will no longer work after the update)?

You dont need to update your system menu, the hacks using lego games are only for 4.3 system wii's, you can softmod your wii without the lego exploit, if you update to 4.3 then you will need one of the lego games, also after 4.1 system menu the wii will not play out of region games.
Follow renke_UK's guide and you should be fine, and yes, you can leave the wiikey in the system, i have a soft modded machine with a wiikey inside.
